    Overlay Work

Overlay work is used along with the inlay to enhance the overall appearance. It involves using thin strips or films of metal or fine slices of stone. They are stuck over the base stone using some cementing material or an adhesive. It makes the product eye catching by giving the pattern a slight three-dimensional effect.

Overlay is more frequently used in interior flooring to enhance the appearance. The overlay table tops are gaining popularity by the day. The combined effect of overlay and inlay leaves the beholder astounded.
